Myanmar Team Update (June 22nd)
Our team has received our visa approvals! Thank you for praying for this important step in the process. Our team is getting ready (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) to launch on June 29th.
Thanks to the giving of so many - our full project budget has been received! It has been the most ambitious four weeks in the life of our ministry, but God has provided in an incredible way.
We will arrive in Yangon on July 1st. Please join in prayer on June 30th (we are 12 hours ahead of you) - that the customs officials will have no interest in us or in our baggage. Pray that they will not even see us as we walk through the customs area.
We have been in constant contact with our national partners and they are busy getting ready for our arrival. We will be able to teach health education, and evangelism and church planting. Shannon will also be able to secretly visit five orphanages and share the love of Christ through medical care with those children and their caregivers. We are prepared to purchase water purification units, and we are taking medical supplies.
We also know there are situations we will encounter that we have not prepared for - but they will be moments that we will need to be ready to step into. Pray for us as we "see with Jesus' eyes" while on this trip.
Pray that we will be wise, flexible, healthy, and unified. Pray that every item that we bring will make it in country, and that we will effectively meet the needs of all we meet.
We couldn't be doing this without YOU! - Thanks again.
Thanks for taking this journey with us!
